FIRST COMPREHENSIVE TAX SERVICE LAUNCHED ON THE INTERNET, BY KALEIDOSPACE

LOS ANGELES, CA - The first complete comprehensive tax preparation site available over the world wide web at http://taxwizard.com was unveiled by Kaleidospace, creator of the first virtual corporation selling art and entertainment over the Internet, in their first venture outside of the entertainment industry.

Developed for the accounting firm of Hargrave & Hargrave in Los Angeles, TaxWizard allows Internet users on the world wide web to fill out an online "tax organizer" and submit their form to the "wizard to be prepared. Currently, TaxWizard is the only Internet site that allows this direct interaction between Internet users and a tax preparation service. TaxWizard is expected to be particularly useful to individuals living abroad who must fill U.S. tax returns. The global reach of the Internet allows them to get any tax form they need from the Wizard, or fill out tax organizer forms online for preparation in the U.S.

Internet users can now access the "TaxWizard" to find out how to check the status of refund checks from the Internal Revenue Service. Despite the dry subject matter, Kaleidospace and Hargrave & Hargrave decided to make the tax site interesting by incorporating a magical theme. Users logging into TaxWizard are greeted by the Wizard in his alchemy laboratory. TaxWizard is divided into several sections, each part of the Wizard's domain and available by the user selecting a region of his laboratory to enter.

WIZARD'S HAT: This section leads to "Ask the Wizard," where users may submit their tax questions. Interesting replies are posted to the "ask" page as a service to the Internet community.

WIZARD'S TELESCOPE: This section leads to "Tax Information Search," which contains general tax information as well as links to other useful Internet sites.

DRAGON: This section contains the "Tax Collections Agencies," which contain links to the IRS and other agencies which have recently developed an Internet presence. The Wizard also offers a "forms service" that can fax any tax form to users.

FROG (THE WIZARD'S APPRENTICE): This section contains "Tax Legislation Updates," provided as a public service. Changes in the 1994 tax laws as well as related Congressional activity are reported here.

The Internet currently serves approximately 25 million people worldwide and is growing rapidly.

Kaleidospace has created sites for the J. Paul Getty Center for Education in the Arts, Woodstock '94 site for A&M Records, web site for American Recordings and Kaleidospace, created to help independent artists utilize the web. In addition, Kaleidospace's latest site is "Infospace," a new Internet service committed to serving the needs of the small business community. Using the multimedia tools of the Web, and the global reach of the Internet, Infospace provides an estimated 40 million Internet users with access to information providers, vendors, government information, legal counsel, reference material, forums, idea exchange and general Internet services.
