| BRAD LANER OF MEDICINE DEBUTS UNRELEASED ALBUM ON
THE INTERNET WITH KALEIDOSPACE
LOS ANGELES, CA - Medicine, the alternative band recently featured in the film and #1 charting album soundtrack for The Crow, will be showcased on the Internet through Kaleidospace's Artist-in-Residence program. Over the next three months, people from across the globe will be able to get up-to-date reports about their current tour of Europe through Kaleidospace (which started in Stuttgart, Germany September 1st). Using Kaleidospace's multimedia presentation through the world wide web and Mosaic they can view hard-to-find Medicine videos and know before the rest of the world what musical direction Medicine will take next. Medicine is by no means an easy band to swallow. Brad Laner's relentless guitars push you in one direction, while Beth Thompson's lilting voice drags you the other way. It's like being caught in the calm eye of a storm while violence rages all around you. If you can imagine what ethereal-industrial sounds like, then you've got a grip on what Medicine is all about. Brad Laner has also submitted an album's worth of new unreleased music under the name Electric Company, and once a week - for at least three months - Kaleidospace will put excerpts on their Internet site for all to hear. Laner's unpublished poetry will be serialized along with the music. Medicine and Kaleidospace are offering music fans an unprecedented window into the creative process of one of rock's leading innovators. Medicine appears on Kaleidospace courtesy of American Recordings, one of the first record labels to develop its own multimedia Internet site.
