INDIESPACE.COM CEO JEANNIE NOVAK SELECTED TO PRESENT AT MAY 3 CALIFORNIA VENTURE FORUM

(4/27/2000)

ORANGE, CA - Indiespace.com founder & CEO Jeannie Novak has been selected to showcase her innovative model for Internet-based entertainment before an audience of potential investors at the 12th California Venture Forum to be held on May 3, 2000 at Chapman University's Irvine Lecture Hall.

Indiespace.com, of Santa Monica, California is an established application service provider (ASP) that helps independent musicians, artists and filmmakers create their own “dotcom” websites, develop online brands/trademarks, support e-commerce and manage their careers with a custom virtual desktop – all without losing rights to their work. By integrating entertainment applications such as promotion, content licensing and clearance with standard Internet services such as “dotcom” web hosting and e-commerce, Indiespace provides a unique one stop solution for the independent entertainment market  -- members of which may be found in over half of all households in the US.

At the California Venture Forum, Novak will join 14 other entrepreneurs presenting to venture capitalists seeking new and sustainable models for Internet business.  Novak’s presentation comes on the heels of recent activity for Indiespace, which in the last few months has developed alliances with entertainment companies and film festivals including the Bijou Cafe film site, Santa Monica Film Festival, Newport Beach Film Festival, and the Temecula Valley International Film Festival. The Wall Street Reporter recently interviewed Novak, and she will appear on the cover of the May/June 2000 issue of My Business Magazine. Other upcoming personal appearances include the Inside Radio Conference, Eat’M, and eMediatainment World.

Novak is confident that Indiespace will receive support at the California Venture Forum. “We have a fine-tuned ASP business model with recurring revenue that serves the independent arts and entertainment community and addresses the need for long-term growth," says Novak. The web hosting market alone is expected to grow from $2 billion to $20 billion by 2003, and Indiespace is on its way to becoming the premiere entertainment web hosting ASP.
