| CREATE ART ON THE INTERNET WITH DAVID BRIN AND P.
CRAIG RUSSELL LOS ANGELES, CA - Kaleidospace, the first commercial Internet site for the promotion and distribution of independent art is asking for contributions to online collaborative work by famous artists. Internet users can add to stories, graphic novels, music and even videos started by the celebrity artists participating in Kaleidospace's Artist-in-Residence (A-i-R) program. David Brin, noted science fiction author whose last work was Glory Season, is writing the first chapter of a story to be completed by users. P. Craig Russell, graphic novel artist who is currently illustrating the Fairy Tales of Oscar Wilde has created artwork for the opening three panels to a collaborative comic. The A-i-R provides the starting material and makes it available over the Internet. Users send continuations of the work to Kaleidospace--which moderates the submissions and combines them into the completed work visible to millions of people worldwide. Users need an Internet account to participate. A SLIP/PPP connection allowing Mosaic-level access to the world wide web is preferred. For Internet users without web access, FTP and Gopher versions of the projects will be maintained at ftp.kspace.com and gopher.kspace.com. Kaleidospace also promotes, distributes, and sells works by independent artists, musicians, writers, performers, animators, filmmakers, CD-ROM authors and software developers. If you are an independent artist and want your work on the Internet, contact us.
